My last report was submitted on 10 Dec 2017. This report covers the week of 10-16 Dec 2017. Temperatures ranged from the middle single digits (7F) at night to upper 40’s during the day. During this period, 0.36 inches of precipitation in the form of snow (Snow Water Equivalent) fell adding to the 0.25 inches (rain) that fell the previous week. Most of the precipitation (5.6 inches of new snow) fell during the snow event of the 13th into the 14th. The total precipitation values for this period are; Precipitation 0.36, New Snow Equivalent 0.36, New Snowfall 7.8 inches. Total Snow (old and new) accumulation 7.8 inches. Total Snow Water Equivalent (old) 0.36 inches. With a slight drying and warming period, the snow on the ground is gradually disappearing at a rate of approximately 1-2 inches daily. With the main snow event on the 13th and 14th, most local schools cancelled classes and travel was hazardous. Overall, conditions remain “Near Normal”.
