Description:
approx. 2-1/2 inches of precipitation over the past week.
Winds were moderate, and temperatures too - so excessive4 drying has not been an issue over the past week.
AGRICULTURE: corn is growing - tobacco crops look weak - soy and cotton do not seem heavily planted this year.
ENERGY: A/C usage moderate
FIRE: danger level is likely low
PLANTS: White clover continues to bloom (late for the season); crepe  myrtles, mimosa in full bloom, queen anne's lace blooming (sambuca done), Rose of Sharon, Vitex blooming.
WILDLIFE: nothing out of the ordinary - barn swallow babies flying for the most part
TOURISM & RECREATION: The "Big Rock" fishing tournament was impacted by severe weather at the first part of the week.
WATER SUPPLY & QUALITY: normal (bacteria levels lowered at some area swimming - fresh water)
