Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: OH-HD-22
Station Name: McGuffey 0.2 W
Report Date: 6/17/2018
Submitted: 6/17/2018 7:33 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
The inch of rain a week ago provided much needed moisture for the plants, but I think we are still a little on the dry side in the imediate vicinity since the scattered rain in the area missed us again several times. I have recorded 1.85 inches this month so far which brings my total for the year to 15.21 inches for rain only. I watered my garden again yesterday and I think the field corn in the area looks like it needs more rain. We saw a field of wheat north of here that is almost ready for harvest and some fields of wheat show some wind damage from storms a week ago. There have been temperatures near or slightly above 90 degrees for a few days and heat advisories for some counties in the area with the heat index forecast to be near 100 degrees today and tomorrow. Friday night was clear and warm so several local recreation and tourism events took place as planned. Storms in the area last evening may have disrupted a few events.
