Last week we saw temperatures about 10 degrees above average a few days with some highs topping out in the low 90s and no rain. Fuels have dried substantially from our wet spring. We had a wildfire 2 miles south of my residence in Voltaire Canyon that was human caused, which quickly grew to about 500 acres. The fire is now under control in the clean-up stage. Otherwise, this is typically our dry time of year.
