We did get .77" of rain over 4 days toward the end of this week, and .72 came in a slow, soaking rain over a few hours.  That dampened the top few inches of the soil, but otherwise conditions are still very dry (2.03" this calendar year, 3.48" this water year).  There is still a little water in the local creek, and it may come up over the next few days because of higher amounts of rainfall above us in the watershed.  Fewer birds at our water sources since this week's rains.
