Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Another relatively dry week with a total of .26" of rain (although a thunderstorm is close to us as I write.) While the top of uncovered soil is cracking, when I plant the soil is moist just an inch or so underground. I did water & feed the gardens thoroughly this week. Plants are still green and lush. We turned off one jet in the microhydro. The drinking spring is unchanged in quality or quantity. Friends reported seeing two new fawns this week. The chestnut trees are blooming, along with a few woodland flowers including pipsissewa and whorled loosestrife. The French Broad River is running at 3,000 cfs, a good level for rafting and kayaking.
