Station Number: IL-TZ-26
Station Name: Pekin 3.6 SSE
Report Date: 10/21/2018
Submitted: 10/21/2018 10:33 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
During the last two weeks I have received 1.40 inches of rain, most fell in the first week. Our farmers are almost done with the harvest and have started on field preparation for winter. The trees are all turning color and leaves are starting to fall. I mowed the yard this week and expect that I will have to mow it again at least once more before winter. Our local creeks are all flowing above what is normal for this time of the year and my pond is up about an inch into the overflow pipe. My garden is now all done and I am moving potted plants indoors, to the sun porch, for their winter home. We went from a warm fall to a cold fall, with frost, almost over night. My station WYS vs. the Prism avg. of 37.41 inches is interesting, 2016 was +6 inches, 2017 was -5.5 inches, and this year was +5 inches.
