Station Name: Hanoverton 0.4 ENE
Report Date: 10/21/2018
Submitted: 10/21/2018 11:58 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
My last report was submitted on 14 October 2018. This report covers the week of 14-20 October 2018. Temperatures this week ranged from the upper 20’s at night to the lower 50’s during the day. During this period, 0.41 inch of precipitation fell adding to the 0.53 of an inch of rain from last week. Some of the precipitation was in the form of extremely light snow and sleet that instantly melted. We also had a few nights that had frost. Lawns, fields, and trees are STILL amazingly green for this time of year. More trees have begun to shed leaves, but they just went from green to brown with no vibrant colors. Many trees are still in full leaf. However, locust and walnut trees are bare. Farm crops are being harvested with reports of a good overall harvest. Local hay fields were just mowed yesterday for the last time this season. Low areas still have soil conditions that are soft and wet with walking to be “squishy”. Overall conditions remain “Mildly Wet”. (Submitted 21 October 2018)
