Not much snow melt yesterday. Snow held on to my 1/1 pitch solar panels. Ponds appear solidly frozen being snow covered. Heard this AM that ice to this time called clear ice because it floats. With weight of snow, ice sinks, cracks, and water seeps up forming potential slushy layer between snow cover and ice.

No waterfowl seen at ponds.
